Swedru All Blacks have confirmed the heartbreaking passing of their head coach, Felix Tamakloe.
Coach Tamakloe, who was highly respected in Ghanaian football circles, passed away due to complications following a mild stroke.
He had been hospitalized after being taken ill during Swedru All Blacks’ Matchday 3 encounter against Future Stars in the Ashanti Region. Medical personnel diagnosed him with a mild stroke and advised him to take a two-week break from his coaching duties to recover fully.
Coach Tamakloe had an illustrious coaching career, previously managing clubs such as Skyy FC, Sekondi Hasaacas, and FC Samartex, before taking charge of Swedru All Blacks. Under his leadership, the team enjoyed a strong start to the 2024/25 Division One League season, currently sitting atop the Zone Two standings with 10 points from four games.
Despite the sad loss of their coach, Swedru All Blacks will continue their pursuit of Premier League promotion, though without the guidance of Coach Tamakloe.
His death was confirmed on Monday, October 21, at the 37 Military Hospital in Accra, where he had been receiving treatment.
