Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has urged the chiefs and people of Bekwai to hold him accountable if he does not fulfill his promises. This appeal came during a stakeholder engagement as part of his campaign tour across four constituencies, which also includes Bosomtwe, Ejisu, and Asokwa.
Dr. Bawumia assured residents of his commitment to addressing the challenges they face, expressing confidence in his proposed policies. He emphasized that he seeks to earn their trust for the full eight-year tenure allowed, with plans to return after four years to renew his mandate if he delivers on his commitments.
He promised that he would not let them down if given the chance to serve.
In response, Nana Okyere Kusi Ntrama, Chief of Asumagya and Otumfuo’s Benkumhene, noted that the NPP government has already launched road projects in the area and voiced his confidence in Dr. Bawumia’s ability to see them through.
Nana Ntrama also addressed additional pressing needs in the community, calling for ongoing support from the government.
