Morocco has moved closer to securing a spot in the knockout stages of the CAF Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations 2024, following their second Group A win on Monday, October 21, in Hurghada, Egypt.
The North Africans, aiming for their first-ever appearance in the finals and a maiden title, delivered a solid 5-2 victory over Ghana, leaving the West African side winless at the bottom of the group. Morocco, whose best achievements in the tournament include back-to-back bronze finishes in 2021 and 2022, are building on a strong run, having narrowly defeated Tanzania 4-3 in their opening match.
With these consecutive wins, Morocco currently tops Group A and looks ahead to their final group-stage encounter against hosts Egypt, who will have the backing of the home crowd. Meanwhile, Egypt faces a determined Tanzanian side still seeking their first victory of the tournament.
