Brentford defeated Crystal Palace in a close game.

Despite starting the season without striker Ivan Toney due to “transfer interest,” Brentford defeated Crystal Palace in a close game.

Shortly after Crystal Palace’s own goal was controversially disallowed, Bryan Mbeumo of scored Brentford first goal in the 29th minute.

In the 56th minute, Ethan Pinnock, with Odsonne Edouard trailing him, deflected Daniel Munoz’s header into his own net as Palace equalize but Brentford scored a 78th-minute winner through Yoane Wissa’s tap-in after Henderson had kept out Nathan Collins.
