CAF has announced a rescheduling of the upcoming 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers between Ghana and Sudan, as confirmed by the Ghana Football Association (GFA). Originally slated for October 11 and 14, 2024, the matches will now be played on Thursday, October 10, and Tuesday, October 15, 2024.
Ghana’s Black Stars will host Sudan’s Falcons at the Accra Sports Stadium on October 10 for the first leg, before heading to Benina, Libya, for the return fixture on October 15.
The Black Stars, currently in search of their first win in the qualifiers, began their campaign with a narrow 1-0 loss to Angola and a 1-1 draw against Niger. As a result, they are third in Group F with only one point.
In preparation for the crucial doubleheader, head coach Otto Addo has named a 25-man squad. The team will look to boost their standing in the group and secure a path to the 2025 AFCON tournament.
