The Electoral Commission (EC) has announced that it will keep the original ballot order for the 2024 presidential election, despite the disqualification of Ghana Freedom Party (GFP) candidate Philip Appiah Kubi.
EC Chairperson Jean Mensa confirmed this decision during an Inter-Party Advisory Committee (IPAC) meeting on Tuesday, November 12. She reassured party representatives that the removal of the GFP candidate would not alter the arrangement of the ballot, emphasizing the Commission’s dedication to a smooth and efficient election process.
Mensa noted that the EC is making significant progress toward finalizing election preparations, revealing that the printing of presidential ballots is already 90 percent complete.
“We are here this morning to inform you that the presidential ballot order will remain unchanged,” Ms. Mensa stated. “As your representatives in the printing houses are aware, we are nearly 90 percent done with the presidential ballots.”
