Ghanaian actress Emelia Brobbey has taken legal action to counter rumors circulating about an alleged intimate relationship with fellow actor Frank Naro.
The controversy erupted after videos went viral, suggesting that Frank had privately told an associate he had a sexual relationship with Emelia, a respected senior colleague. In response, Emelia filed a police report at the Kumasi Central Station, accusing Frank Naro of defamation and spreading false information.
Frank was summoned to the station to provide his statement. Denying the allegations, Frank clarified that he has never had any personal encounters with Emelia beyond their professional interactions. He expressed respect for her, referring to her as an industry elder and saying he views her like an older sister.
According to Frank, it was actually his associate who initiated the rumors, leading him to file a police report against the individual to clear his own name. Initially, he opted to remain silent, hoping the rumors would fade, but as the situation escalated, he decided to speak out publicly.
Frank shared that he had sought advice from industry veterans like Vivian Jill and Nana Ama McBrown, who encouraged him to defend his reputation. Seeking a resolution, he arranged a private conversation with Emelia Brobbey, aiming to foster mutual understanding and work toward a positive outcome for both parties.
