Francis Amuzu, a Belgian winger, suffered yet another injury setback on Saturday against KV Mechelen. He hobbled off the field after over an hour of play because of excruciating thigh pain. Following a season ruined by pubalgia and a recent ankle ailment sustained during the preseason, comes this most recent injury. Before leaving, Amuzu made a big impact despite his ongoing injury problems.
In the 50th minute, he scored his first goal of the year with a brilliant strike from a tight angle to give Anderlecht a 2-1 lead. After a corner, Yari Verschaeren assisted on the goal. At the Veoliastadion Achter De Kazerne, Anderlecht won 3-1 thanks to goals from Théo Leoni late in the game and Ludwig Augustinsson just before halftime.
