Ghana and Mexico Draw Blank in Friendly Ahead of U-20 Women’s World Cup

On Thursday night, Mexico and Ghana’s Black Princesses drew in an international friendly. In a match that lasted 90 minutes and served as a warm-up for the 2024 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup, neither team was able to score. The result was a score of 0-0. The two teams were still finalizing their preparations for the competition when the match took place at the Centro Deportivo Choquenza in Bogota, Colombia.

The U-20 Women’s World Cup 2024 will begin on Saturday, August 31, and go through Sunday, September 22, 2024, in Colombia. On September 2, the Black Princesses will play their first game of the campaign against Austria. In the remaining Group E games, they will play Japan and New Zealand. Since their entry into the competition in 2010, Ghana is participating for the seventh time.
