Asante Kotoko head coach Prosper Narteh Ogum has admitted that the team’s third consecutive loss is disappointing and far from ideal. After a strong start to the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season, Kotoko has faced a rough patch, struggling to secure points in recent weeks.
The Reds’ losing streak began with a defeat to Legon Cities at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium, followed by a 1-0 loss to Heart of Lions at the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium. Their struggles continued on Matchday 10 with another 1-0 setback against Bechem United at Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park.
Speaking after the match, Narteh Ogum acknowledged the disappointment but voiced optimism that the team could bounce back.
“It’s not ideal for Asante Kotoko to lose three straight games, but the key now is to work hard and turn the results in our favor,” he remarked.
Reflecting on the latest loss, he added, “It’s an unfortunate outcome, considering our performance. We played well and created solid chances that we could have scored.”
Kotoko currently stands 6th in the league with 15 points and will aim to reverse their fortunes as they prepare to host Nations FC on Matchday 11 at the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium.
