Akosua Asaa Manu, popularly known as Kozie, the New Patriotic Party’s parliamentary candidate for the Adentan Constituency, has initiated a football gala aimed at discovering new talents, fostering peace, unity, and promoting non-violence within the community.

The tournament features 96 teams from local communities and electoral areas, providing a platform for young people to showcase their football skills while addressing social challenges. Kozie envisions this initiative as the beginning of a long-term policy to nurture young talent in Adentan, creating pathways for employment and economic growth.

“This event is about more than just football; it’s about building a cohesive community and unlocking the immense potential of our youth,” Kozie said. “By investing in them, we can create a conveyor belt of talent that benefits Adentan and Ghana as a whole.”

Her initiative also aims to tap into football’s vast economic potential, which offers direct and indirect employment opportunities across various professional disciplines. Kozie believes the gala can lay the groundwork for a broader industry-focused policy to boost job creation in the constituency.

In addition to addressing youth unemployment, the competition promotes social cohesion and serves as a platform for engaging the community, emphasizing peace and non-violence, particularly in the run-up to the 2024 general elections.

This bold and innovative initiative demonstrates Kozie’s commitment to empowering the youth and fostering sustainable development in Adentan, with football serving as a transformative tool for change.
