Barcelona has signed Ghanaian teenager David Oduro into its La Masia academy, considered as the best youth team. He joined Spanish team after a brilliant trial during the early this year.
Accra Lions signing from Ghana Premier League has almost similar striking resemblance to Bayern Munich’s star forward Alphonso Davies due to his speedy and creative nature on the pitch. He is still young being 23 years of age; however, he has made over 50 senior appearances for Accra Lions in which he has scored one goal and made six assists.
Originally, other big teams such as Chelsea in Europe were also showing interest in signing him, which caused rumors that Barcelona could lose the young sensation. Nevertheless, Barcelona managed to sign him on, and Oduro became the first Ghanaian player to join the club directly from his country.
Everyone is eagerly waiting for him to join La Masia as he is believed to be a talented player with early experience that is likely to enhance the youth team in Barcelona.
