The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has extended congratulations to U.S. President-elect Donald J. Trump on his recent election victory, marking his return to the White House after four years.
In a statement from NDC General Secretary Fifi Fiavi Kwetey, the party commended Trump’s decisive win, interpreting it as a sign of renewed faith in experienced leadership.
The NDC views Trump’s return to office as a positive indication for its own chances in Ghana’s upcoming elections. Drawing parallels between American voters’ preference for seasoned governance and the political sentiment in Ghana, the NDC expressed hope that Ghanaians, who will vote on December 7, will turn away from what it called “eight years of insensitivity, corruption, and economic mismanagement” by the current administration.
The party reaffirmed its commitment to restoring stability, integrity, and hope to the nation, pledging to tackle pressing national issues if given the mandate.
