Otto Addo announces 25-man squad for Angola and Niger games.

Black Stars head coach Otto Addo has revealed the 25-man squad selected for Ghana’s pivotal final qualifiers against Angola and Niger this month. The squad was announced Thursday afternoon during a press conference held at the Ghana Football Association (GFA) Conference Room.

Among the key absences from this lineup are Arsenal’s Thomas Partey, who also missed the recent fixtures against Sudan, and AS Monaco defender Mohammed Salisu, who remains sidelined.

The selection features three players from the Ghana Premier League, namely Isaac Afful of FC Samartex, Emmanuel Antwi from Asante Kotoko, and Razak Simpson of Nations FC.

SQUAD LIST

The Black Stars are gearing up for their final qualifying matches for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, with a pivotal clash against Angola in Luanda on November 15 at the Estádio 11 de Novembro. This will be followed by a crucial home encounter with Niger at the Accra Sports Stadium on November 18.

Currently in 3rd place in Group F with just two points from four matches, Ghana’s hopes of securing a spot in the tournament depend on winning both fixtures. Additionally, the team will need Sudan to lose to both Niger and Angola to keep their qualification dreams alive.

Addo has assembled a strong core of experienced players, including Alexander Djiku, Mohammed Kudus, Inaki Williams, and Jordan Ayew, who are expected to lead the charge in these crucial matchups as Ghana seeks to secure a place in the 2025 AFCON tournament.
