Ghanaian reggae and dancehall artist Ras Kuuku has revealed he’s exploring a collaboration with legendary highlife singer Daddy Lumba. Speaking with Andy Dosty on Daybreak Hitz, Ras Kuuku shared that he and Daddy Lumba have already discussed the potential project, and he hopes the collaboration will happen when the timing is right.
Andy Dosty praised Ras Kuuku for his powerful rendition of Daddy Lumba’s classic Ankwanoma during Lumba’s 60th birthday celebration. When asked if he intended to remake any of the highlife star’s iconic songs, Ras Kuuku clarified, “We have a song planned together, but it’s not going to be a remix—it’s an original track.”
Ras Kuuku, affectionately known as the Puom Soldier, expressed his deep admiration for Daddy Lumba, which inspired his memorable performance at the birthday event.
Known for working with artists like Samini, Kofi Kinaata, Kuami Eugene, Ypee, and Fameye, Ras Kuuku continues to expand his musical collaborations. Currently, he has released a new track titled Tumi, featuring gospel artist Broda Sammy.
