The Electoral Commission (EC) of Ghana has introduced an online re-exhibition process for the Provisional Voter’s Register (PVR) in preparation for the upcoming general elections.
In a press statement released today, the EC encouraged all registered voters to confirm their details online from Tuesday, October 15, to Saturday, October 19, 2024. This re-exhibition exercise allows voters to verify their personal information and report any errors before the deadline.
The EC has made it easy for voters to access their registration details through two methods, ensuring that all eligible voters can confirm their information accurately.
1. Via Short Code: Voters can dial *711*51# on their mobile phones, free of charge, to access their voter details.
2. Via the EC Website:Visit https://ec.gov.gh and click on the pop-up link at the bottom-right corner of the screen. Enter your 10-digit Voter ID number to view your registration details.
Voters who identify any discrepancies in their registration details are urged to report them to their local District Electoral Commission Office for correction before the October 19 deadline. After this date, while voters will still be able to view their information online, they will no longer be able to request any corrections.
Political parties have been given a standardized template to report discrepancies found during the re-exhibition phase of the voter list.
This process plays a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of voter information ahead of the 2024 elections.
