According to the Ghana Space Science and Technology Institute, Ghana intends to send a rocket into space shortly. Still, the institution points out that achieving this long-term goal will necessitate collaboration with other IAU member states.
In order to increase their contributions to the international astronomy community, South Africa, which is hosting the IAU General Assembly in 2024, has stated that it is eager to collaborate with countries such as Ghana.
Thoko Modise, General Manager for Communications at the national marketing agency of South Africa, Brand South Africa, expressed her excitement about the collaboration.
The goal of this enormous global initiative is to build the world’s largest and most sensitive radio telescope.
