‘I will end your career if you disrespect me’ – Shatta Wale warns Black Sherif
Ghanaian reggae/dancehall star Shatta Wale has issued a stern warning to rising musician Black Sherif, threatening to end his career if he continues to criticize him. The tension between the two artists escalated after Black Sherif posted a picture of Shatta Wale on Snapchat, commenting on his style of dressing. Shatta Wale, displeased by the post, took to X (formerly Twitter) on November 4, 2024, to express his frustration, advising the “Kilos Milos” hitmaker to be cautious.
“Black Sherif, you are new in the industry. If you’ve heard rumors that I’ve said something about you, you should have watched the podcast to hear the good things I said,” Shatta Wale remarked, referring to comments he made on the Bant, Rants, and Confessions podcast on October 31, 2024. During the podcast, Shatta Wale had suggested that Black Sherif could improve his appearance. In response, Black Sherif posted the image with the caption “I plaster everywhere,” which seemed to mock Shatta Wale’s fashion.
Shatta Wale continued, “This is what happened with Sarkodie, now people think he’s my enemy. Go ask around—I can end careers, and if you’re not careful, I’ll end yours too.” The comments have sparked mixed reactions among fans and netizens, with some supporting Shatta Wale’s position, while others criticize the exchange between the two artists.
