Renowned musician Stonebwoy shared that he is often mistaken for being Jamaican, a perception he attributes to his dancehall style and numerous international collaborations.
Speaking in a recent fashion interview, the BHIM Nation president explained that his Jamaican-inspired approach to music frequently leads some Ghanaians to assume he’s from the Caribbean. Over the years, Stonebwoy has collaborated with several Jamaican icons, including Morgan Heritage and Sean Paul, further strengthening his association with the genre.
Discussing his style, Stonebwoy highlighted his essentials: chains, shades, hats, teeth grills, and sneakers. Despite his international appeal, he remains connected to his roots, citing his love for banku with okro stew as his favorite Ghanaian meal.
In an earlier interview, Stonebwoy revealed he has collaborated with over 47 artists, with additional projects still to be released. He believes this exposure has earned him recognition in Jamaica and added to his identity as a global dancehall artist with Ghanaian pride.
