Jamaican dancehall sensation Spice has revealed that her introduction to Ghana was inspired by the music of celebrated Ghanaian artiste, Stonebwoy.
During an interview on Okay FM, Spice shared how her initial encounter with Stonebwoy’s music in Jamaica reshaped her perspective on the country.
“I couldn’t believe it when I found out Stonebwoy was from Ghana,” she recounted. “When I first heard his song back in Jamaica, I assumed it was a Jamaican delivering that sound. I was surprised to learn he’s Ghanaian. That’s how I discovered the entire country.”
Known for her impact on the global dancehall scene, Spice praised Ghanaian musicians for their contributions to the genre and their efforts in elevating the country’s profile on the global stage.
