A tragic incident has occurred in the Ejisu Municipality of the Ashanti region, where 20-year-old Samuel Obeng has allegedly killed his younger brother, 8-year-old Messiah Akomeah, in a secluded bush near Kwamo.
After committing the heinous act, Samuel returned home and informed his uncle, Kofi Appiah, about the murder. Samuel claimed that he had been under the influence of a spirit when he lured his brother to the remote area where the killing took place. He also admitted that he attempted to dispose of the body after the incident.
In an interview with Adom News, Kofi Appiah expressed disbelief and shock at the horrific act committed by his nephew. Although he acknowledged that Samuel had a history of smoking marijuana, locally known as ‘weed,’ he never imagined such a tragedy could occur.
The body of the young boy, which was found nearly decapitated, has been retrieved and placed at the mortuary, while investigations continue into the devastating event.
