Southampton has completed the signing of a new goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale from Arsenal for £25 million. In the deal with the two clubs, around £18m has been given with £1m depending on the current season Southampton did not get a relegation bid, and the rest of the £6m depends on the performance.
Ramsdale is 26 years and has passed his medical checkups successfully, and as agreed, he has signed a four years contract with Southampton with the sixth year being an option, where it makes Ramsdale’s stay with the team to end in 2029.
Upon joining Southampton, Ramsdale said: “I’m absolutely delighted. The way the manager wants to play, the way he was when I spoke to him, he was just full of so much enthusiasm. I’d never met him before, but he made me feel about eight feet tall, which is just what you want”
