Abdul Aziz Issah, an 18-year-old Ghanaian winger, has joined Barcelona on a loan from Dreams FC.
Issah will join Barcelona’s B team, Barça Atlètic, for the upcoming season, with the agreement including an option to buy at the end of the loan period, which runs until June 30, 2025.
Issah’s move to Barcelona makes him the second Ghanaian to join the club this transfer window, following the signing of left-back David Oduro from Accra Lions.
His signing with Barça Atlètic gives him a chance to follow in the footsteps of youthful talents like Ansu Fati, Gavi, Alejandro Balde, and Lamine Yamal, who have all made it to the first team.
Issah rose to prominence last season with his exceptional performances in the CAF Confederation Cup, where he was recognised as one of CAF’s top young talents.
He played a crucial role in Dreams FC’s historic run to the semi-finals, contributing four goals and two assists in ten matches before their narrow defeat to Egyptian giants Zamalek.
Issah was an exceptional player in the Ghana Premier League, contributing to 17 goals during the season, seven of which he scored and ten of which he assisted on.
His impact was equally felt in the FA Cup, where he found the net four times in five games.
On the international stage, Issah has been a key figure for Ghana’s U20 team, helping them secure gold at the Africa Games earlier this year.
