Asante Kotoko has officially announced the Obuasi Len Clay Sports Stadium as their temporary home ground for the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season. This decision follows the closure of the Baba Yara Stadium by the National Sports Authority (NSA) for maintenance, after the Confederation of African Football (CAF) deemed the stadium unfit to host international matches.
With the ban in place, Kotoko has been compelled to find a new venue and has chosen the Len Clay Stadium for their home games. Their first match at the Obuasi stadium is scheduled against Young Apostles on Sunday, September 22.
Asante Kotoko will pay an estimated GHS 10,000 for each game played at the venue. The team plans to return to the Baba Yara Stadium once the renovation works are completed.
