The Black Stars have arrived in their training camp in Accra lifting their preparations for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers in 2025.
Ghana is expected to play Angola and Niger respectively as their first steps towards the wipeout of the African Football Cup of Nations competition. The head coach, Otto Addo, who revealed his list of players for the qualifiers last Thursday, invited several key individuals to the team.
Seven players had arrived at the Black Stars camp by Sunday night and were preparing to have their first training session. Among the players that arrived at United early are Tariq Lamptey, Joseph Wollacott, Ibrahim Osman, Jonas Adjetey, Antoine Semenyo, Brandon Thomas-Asante, and Frederick Asare.
This way, they will be able to arrive early in order to be well-prepped for the rigorous training sessions that are going to follow. More players are likely to report to the camp on Monday morning and the first practice session is set to be conducted on Monday evening by Otto Addo. The coaching staff has to ensure they make the best out of the preparation time as this will be key in the qualifiers.
Ghana’s campaign starts with a match at home against Angola on Thursday, September 5 before traveling to face the men of the threads of Niger the following Tuesday, September 9.
These matches are important for the Black Stars since it will enable the team to gather some early points which are very important in building the much-needed momentum and confidence in the upcoming AFCON qualifiers.
