The campaign team for John Dramani Mahama, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Presidential Candidate, has announced a series of impactful events this week as he prepares for the 2024 elections. These activities highlight Mahama’s commitment to inclusivity, community engagement, and faith.
The campaign Team will kick off with the launch of the NDC Women’s Manifesto in Kumasi on Monday, September 30, 2024. Taking place at the Great Hall of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in the Ashanti Region, the event will be led by Mahama and his Vice-Presidential Candidate, Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang. The manifesto aims to empower women and enhance gender inclusivity in governance, reflecting Mahama’s dedication to increasing women’s leadership participation.
Following the manifesto launch, Mahama will engage with Christian leaders in Accra on Tuesday, October 1, 2024, as part of his #MahamaConversations series. This dialogue will focus on shared values among Ghanaians and the role of faith in national development. During this session, Mahama is expected to reaffirm his commitment to establishing a National Day of Prayer and Thanksgiving, fostering interfaith collaboration and spiritual reflection for the country’s advancement.
To conclude the week, Mahama will embark on a four-day campaign tour of the North East and Savanna Regions starting Wednesday, October 2, 2024. This tour aims to facilitate direct engagement with Ghanaians, particularly in rural areas, addressing pressing economic challenges and rising prices.
