Casemiro will only consider leaving Manchester United if he is informed that he doesn’t have a future at the club, according to a source speaking to ESPN. Galatasaray is interested in acquiring a midfielder before the Turkish transfer window closes on September 13 and is looking into the possibility of loaning Casemiro.
Despite the £50 million signing of Manuel Ugarte from Paris Saint-Germain, Casemiro believes he will still have playing opportunities at Manchester United this season. He will only seek a move if told he is not part of Erik ten Hag’s plans. Currently on holiday during the international break, Casemiro is expected to return to training at Carrington next week before the match against Southampton on September 14.
The 32-year-old was substituted at halftime during Manchester United’s 3-0 loss to Liverpool, after making mistakes that led to Liverpool’s first two goals, scored by Luis Díaz. While Manchester United is open to considering realistic offers, Ten Hag and sporting director Dan Ashworth are wary of weakening the squad in what is expected to be a busy season.
