The Electoral Commission (EC) has announced that the certified voter register for the 2024 general elections will be ready in the first week of November. This update was provided by EC Chairperson Jean Mensa during an Inter-Party Advisory Committee (IPAC) meeting on October 15, 2024.
In her address, Mrs. Mensa assured stakeholders of the Commission’s commitment to creating an accurate and comprehensive voters’ register, which will include all eligible voters registered during the exercises conducted in 2020, 2023, and 2024.
The EC has been diligently working to resolve discrepancies to ensure the final register is reliable for the upcoming elections. This initiative is part of the Commission’s broader efforts to maintain transparency and integrity in the electoral process.
She expressed confidence that the revised Provisional Voter register presented today represents a significant improvement over the previous register, as most discrepancies have been addressed.
