Namibian police are investigating the heartbreaking deaths of four children who suffocated while playing inside an abandoned freezer in the Zambezi Region. The children, aged between three and six, were discovered on Monday afternoon in the densely populated area of Katima Mulilo.
Authorities believe the children accidentally became trapped in the unused deep freezer, leading to suffocation. Reports indicate that two of the children died in the freezer, while the other two succumbed to their injuries after being rushed to Katima Mulilo State Hospital.
It remains unclear why the non-functional freezer was left outside one of the families’ homes. Investigations are ongoing to determine the circumstances surrounding this tragic incident.
