Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has officially launched the CitizenApp, an innovative mobile application aimed at enhancing public service delivery and citizen engagement in Accra. The CitizenApp serves as a comprehensive platform for accessing a range of government services, reporting issues, and receiving real-time updates on public affairs.
Tailored for all Ghanaians, the app seeks to improve access to government services while providing crucial information promptly. It also aims to streamline communication between citizens and government agencies, promoting efficiency and transparency in processes. Dr. Bawumia emphasized the app’s potential to reduce bureaucratic hurdles and enhance transparency and accountability in government operations.
“What Ghana has achieved, many advanced countries have yet to realize. We are moving in a direction filled with major opportunities. With this system, doing business in Ghana will be smoother, paying taxes will be simpler, obtaining passports will be effortless, and registering businesses will be hassle-free,” he remarked.
The launch event was attended by prominent government officials, tech industry leaders, and members of the public.
