Ghanaian duo John Antwi and Clifford Aboagye join Libyan club

Ghanaian Striker John Antwi and Midfielder, Clifford Aboagye have been Signed by Almoroj SC. The Libyan club released photographs of the two players saying they have joined the team ahead of the next league season.

New comer to the premier league team Almoroj SC recruits John Antwi from Dreams FC where he left at the end of the previous season, as a free agent. On his return to Ghana this year, he assisted Dreams FC, a newcomer to the CAF Confederation Cup, to the semi-final stage of the competition.

As for the striker Anthony Antwi, he is coming with wide experience in the North African football, especially in the Egyptian leagues as the player made his mark with 102 goals on the Egyptian clubs before moving top the Cameroonian clubs.

Other new players include Clifford Aboagye, 29, who has signed for Almoroj SC with the hope of returning back to the high standard shown when he was dubbed the ‘new Ronaldo’ of world football. In his early carrier Aboagye performed well during the 2013 FIFA U-20 World Cup and was awarded as the third-best player in the tournament after France’s Paul Pogba.

The talent that was giddily packaged in Aboagye youth was however dented with fluctuating fortunes throughout his playing career, experience in Mexico and Spain not living up to expectations as was anticipated. Now back in Africa, Aboagye is hoping to make the best out of this opportunity and maybe come back to the level of expectations that was put on him before.

This transfer move to Almoroj SC is a new beginning to both Antwi and Aboagye, who will be eager to give their best to make a statement as they begin anew with this team.
