Accra Circuit Court Discharges 7 Democracy Hub Protesters, Two Still Facing Charges

An Accra Circuit Court has discharged seven out of the nine Democracy Hub protesters who were brought before it on Tuesday, October 22.

During the court session, State Attorney Amanda Awadi, representing the prosecution, informed the court that the Republic had decided to drop charges against seven of the protesters. Those discharged include Kingsley Asiedu, Seth Cofie, Vera Gloria Louis, Nii Quaye Hammond, Manuel Biney, Dorsese Joseph, and Ernest Acheampong.

Awadi also indicated that a new charge sheet would be filed for the remaining two accused individuals. The case has been adjourned to November 21, awaiting further developments.
