Sean “Diddy” Combs is facing new allegations in a lawsuit filed by fashion designer Bryana “Bana” Bongolan, accusing him of dangling her from a 17th-floor balcony during an altercation in 2016.
The lawsuit, filed in Los Angeles, claims the incident occurred at the home of Combs’ then-girlfriend, Casandra “Cassie” Ventura. This case adds to a growing list of over two dozen lawsuits accusing the music mogul of various offenses, including sexual assault, physical violence, and witness intimidation.
Combs, who is also facing federal charges of racketeering and sex trafficking, has denied all allegations. In response to the latest lawsuit, a representative stated, “He firmly denies these serious allegations and remains confident they will ultimately be proven baseless.”
According to Ms. Bongolan, she was spending the night at Ms. Ventura’s apartment when Combs arrived, shouting and banging on the door. Once inside, he allegedly confronted her as she stood on the balcony.
The lawsuit alleges Combs grabbed and molested her before lifting her and dangling her over the edge of the balcony. Ms. Bongolan, who weighed approximately 100 pounds (45.3 kg) at the time, claims she struggled to resist being thrown off. She alleges Combs overpowered her until Ms. Ventura intervened. Combs then allegedly pulled Ms. Bongolan back over the ledge and slammed her onto patio furniture.
Ms. Bongolan says she has no idea what provoked the alleged incident and is seeking $10 million in damages.
The claims in Ms. Bongolan’s lawsuit mirror an incident described in a previous lawsuit filed by Ms. Ventura in 2023. That suit, which alleged abuse, rape, and sex trafficking, noted a similar balcony incident involving one of Ms. Ventura’s friends. The lawsuit was settled a day after it was filed.
Ms. Bongolan also alleges that her professional relationship with Combs, which involved collaborations on clothing lines and album covers, was marked by threats, intimidation, and violence.
A representative for Combs dismissed the latest allegations, emphasizing his belief in the judicial process. “Anyone has the right to file a lawsuit, regardless of the evidence they may or may not have,” the statement said. “The truth will come to light in court, demonstrating that these claims are without merit.”
Currently, Combs is being held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, New York, after being denied bail three times.
