Samuel Apea-Danquah Challenges Disqualification from 2024 Presidential Race

Samuel Apea-Danquah, an independent presidential candidate and founder of Yellow Ghana, has expressed his concerns over his disqualification by the Electoral Commission (EC) from the upcoming 2024 elections. EC Chairperson Jean Mensa announced on September 20 that Apea-Danquah failed to meet nomination requirements due to incomplete forms and missing documentation, despite being given the chance to rectify these issues.

In his response, Apea-Danquah described the process as inconsistent and unfair, detailing that he was notified of the discrepancies on September 11 and had complied with all necessary corrections by September 13, submitting the required documents ahead of the deadline. His statement reaffirmed Yellow Ghana’s commitment to advocating for transparency and fairness in the electoral process. Apea-Danquah is one of ten candidates disqualified from the race.
