Supporters of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) clashed in Salaga, Savannah Region, with both groups throwing stones and other objects at each other.
The violent clash erupted following the recent launch of DRIP equipment by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo which provided road materials and vehicles to each constituency.
According to report, both parties had urged their supporters to gather and receive the DRIP equipment from Damongo, with each side claiming ownership of the materials.
The altercation escalated into a physical confrontation, leaving two individuals with serious injuries who were urgently taken to Salaga District Hospital. Several others also sustained minor injuries.
In a video which has gone viral, the youth are seen brandishing various weapons and throwing stones and anything else they could find at each other.
The footage was shared on the social media platform X by TV3.
