Manchester United will face Tottenham Hotspur away in the Carabao Cup quarter-finals, scheduled for the week of December 16.
Defending champions Liverpool are set to travel to Southampton, who have been struggling in the Premier League, while Arsenal will host Crystal Palace in an all-London clash. Newcastle United will welcome Brentford at St. James’ Park to complete the quarter-final lineup.
Remarkably, this is the first time in 14 years that no EFL clubs have reached the League Cup quarter-finals. Spurs secured their spot by overcoming Manchester City in the fourth round, while United, guided by interim manager Ruud van Nistelrooy, advanced with a 5-2 victory over Leicester. United fans are hoping new manager Ruben Amorim will be in place by then.
The semi-finals will be held over two legs, taking place in the weeks of January 6 and February 3, leading up to the grand finale at Wembley Stadium on Sunday, March 16.
