U.S. Embassy transitions to new visa services provider

Since August 26, 2024 the United States Embassy located in Accra – Ghana uses the new visa service provider thus a dramatic shift on the ways of managing and processing visa matters. The official shut down of the previous provider’s website and services occurred on 16 August 2024.

The Embassy has however wanted to assure the applicants that all the nonimmigrant interview appointments that were previously scheduled will not be altered by this transition. Nevertheless, since August 26, the users are obliged to register again by creating new login and password on the website of the new visa service provider. It is the step for change of delivery preference of DHL, change of account information, modification of any information, sending a request and getting in touch with the customer service department of the firm.

The Embassy has also focused this by calling for applicants to resubmit applications if they never received an invite or a confirmation of the appointment by the cutoff date of August 16. Moreover, applicants who are having ‘visa application fee’ but did not schedule an interview they also have to do it through new provider according to the available ‘appointment slots.’

All the applicants are encouraged to update their accounts immediately and get a grasp of the new system in a bid to avoid any interruption to their visa application. To avail this support, applicants need to use their appointment enrollment number against their respective visas to go to the new system progressively to lessen the impact of transition for every single candidate.
