The FDA has increased on its market raids with many unauthorized products being seized from circulation in the Ghanaian market.
This crackdown comes on the heels of the FDA having already taken a hard stand against more than 100 manufacturing companies across the country from January, penalizing them for advertising unapproved products.
While raiding a factory along with some media personnel recently James Aboakye the team lead for Market Surveillance urged the people not to let their guards down. He urged the consumers to scrutinize the information content of the products, in the areas of food, medicine and shower gel among others to ensure they meet the FDA standards.
