A bustling business district near Rawlings Park in the Greater Accra Region, Zongo Lane, has seen a fire that has destroyed several establishments, leaving a path of ruin in its wake. According to reports, the fire started in a small shop and quickly spread to nearby establishments, shooting thick clouds of black smoke skyward. Several stores were swiftly destroyed by the fire, which turned merchandise, gadgets, and other items into ashes.
Firefighters were quick to respond to the site and eventually put out the fire after a protracted battle. Nevertheless, numerous stores have been completely demolished, indicating the significant magnitude of the destruction. The Ghana National Fire Service has begun an inquiry into the incident, but the origin of the fire is yet unknown.
