Fire Service issues fraud alert

The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) has raised an alert about a recruitment scam involving counterfeit appointment letters being shared on social media.

In a statement posted on its official Facebook page on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, the GNFS strongly distanced itself from the fraudulent scheme.

“These fake appointment letters and prospectuses circulating on social media are not issued by the Ghana National Fire Service but are the work of scammers,” the statement clarified.

The GNFS called on applicants to exercise caution and remain vigilant, urging them to report any suspicious activities linked to the scam.

“Applicants are advised to stay alert and report such incidents to the GNFS or the Police for swift action,” the statement added.
