Ghana Water Limited Refutes Claims of Political Influence in Water Production Update for Cape Coast 

Ghana Water Limited (GWL) has categorically denied any external influence regarding its recent update on improvements in water production for Cape Coast, Elmina, and nearby communities.  

This clarification comes in response to public skepticism following the announcement of enhanced water quality and supply. In an interview, Eric Seth Atiapah, the Central Regional Chief Manager of GWL, addressed these concerns, reaffirming the company’s commitment to transparency and effective communication with customers.  

He dismissed allegations of political interference, stating that the update was simply a routine effort to keep the public informed about water production status. Atiapah also emphasized the positive impact of ongoing discussions regarding water issues, noting an increase in public awareness and support.  

Ghana Water Limited’s recent update highlighted a significant reduction in water turbidity levels at the Sekyere Hemang Water Treatment Plant, attributed to initiatives led by the Central Regional Security Council (REGSEC).
