When President Akufo-Addo visited Bolgatanga recently to inaugurate the regional hospital, he expressed worry about the state of affairs and promised swift action to lessen the consequences of the ongoing dry weather that has destroyed these communities. The drought has had a devastating impact on crops and total farm productivity, causing farmers in the afflicted regions to suffer large losses.
These measures are expected to offer hope to affected farmers and support agricultural recovery in the northern regions.
