The Aburi Girls Senior High School (SHS) in the Eastern Region is mourning the sudden passing of its respected Headmistress, Cynthia Anim. The tragic event occurred while she was in Rome, Italy, participating in an educational workshop with the Deputy Minister of Education, fellow school leaders, and selected students.
The Headmistress Cynthia Anim was a dedicated educator renowned for her commitment to enhancing secondary education in Ghana. She was engaged in an international workshop aimed at improving educational standards when this unfortunate incident occurred.
In a formal statement, Rev. E.A. Asiedu, Chairman of the school’s Board of Governors, expressed the profound grief shared by students, staff, and parents. He described Mrs. Anim as a passionate leader whose vision and efforts significantly contributed to the academic success of Aburi Girls Senior High School.
In light of this significant loss, an emergency board meeting has been scheduled for Monday, September 30, at 10 a.m. in the school’s Boardroom. The meeting will focus on arrangements and plans to ensure that Mrs. Anim’s legacy continues to guide the school’s mission.
