The Ministry of Interior has confirmed that Friday, November 8, 2024, will not be observed as a public holiday, even though the 40th Farmers’ Day celebration will take place on this date.
Typically held on the first Friday of December, this year’s Farmers’ Day was moved up to avoid coinciding with the upcoming general elections, which would have otherwise placed it on December 6.
In an official statement, the Interior Ministry clarified that while the celebration is rescheduled, December 6 will still be recognized as the statutory holiday for Farmers’ Day.
