Janet Nabla, the presidential candidate for the People’s National Party (PNP), has decided against pursuing legal action following her disqualification from the December presidential elections.
The Electoral Commission (EC) disqualified Nabla due to her failure to rectify mistakes in her nomination form. In a statement issued on Thursday, the PNP voiced its disagreement with the EC’s decision but confirmed that Nabla will not seek judicial recourse.
The party underscored its broader mission, focusing on educating the public about political matters and the implications of government policies, rather than solely contesting elections. They reiterated their commitment to holding the current administration accountable by critically reviewing policies, proposing alternatives, and promoting transparency.
