Samuel Afotey Otu, the National President of the Judicial Service Staff Association of Ghana (JUSAG), has called on staff to maintain neutrality and steer clear of political activities as the December 7 general election nears. He emphasized the importance of their role in upholding the law and supporting the judiciary, rather than becoming involved with any political party.
Addressing attendees at the 2024 Annual Judicial Service Staff Durbar in Kumasi, Mr. Otu highlighted their duty to serve as a beacon of justice for those seeking legal recourse, reaffirming their commitment to the judiciary.
The durbar also provided an opportunity for staff to engage directly with the Chief Justice, raise concerns, and receive responses. Chief Justice Gertrude Sackey Torkornoo echoed Mr. Otu’s sentiments, urging staff to avoid any actions that could tarnish the reputation of the Judicial Service.
