Ghanaian politician and the founder and leader of the Liberal Party of Ghana (LPG) Kofi Akpaloo has recently caused controversy with comments he made about his daughter’s marriage while being interviewed at Kingdom FM on 30th August, Akpaloo revealed that any man seeking to marry his daughter must first make her pregnant.
He elaborated that this requirement comes from the fact that he wants to have no problems with childbirth after the marriage, stating that he is convinced that if the man was not serious about his daughter, he would never sire a child before marriage.
Even when he knows that he will disagree with someone, Akpaloo is unapologetic for his stand on his beliefs. On various social media platforms, his comments have elicited intense discussion with various individuals holding contrary positions.
He said “If you are a man and want to marry my daughter, I would want you to impregnate my daughter before. That is my principle because I don’t want a situation where maybe you can’t give birth and worry my daughter,”
