A devastating fire at Kpone Kokompe Farms in the Kpone Katamanso Municipality, Greater Accra, claimed the lives of four people late Friday night. The blaze, which broke out around 11:20 p.m., engulfed about ten wooden structures, leaving them completely destroyed.
Among the victims were a 27-year-old man, a 14-year-old girl, an 11-year-old boy, and a 2-year-old infant. Despite the Ghana National Fire Service’s efforts to extinguish the flames, the fire had already spread too rapidly for any rescue attempts to succeed.
A witness recounted the tragic event to Adom News, explaining how quickly the flames consumed the area, making it impossible to save the trapped individuals.
ADO1 Bright Nana Sarfo, PRO of the Devtraco Fire Station, confirmed that an investigation is underway to determine the cause of the fire.
The community is left reeling from the shock and loss, as authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
