The legendary ‘El Clasico’ between Real Madrid and Barcelona is set for Matchday 11 of the 2024-25 La Liga season, and it promises yet another electrifying clash.

On Saturday night, the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium will host Real Madrid and Barcelona as they reignite their fierce, 120-year rivalry. With both teams fighting for La Liga dominance, this clash is sure to be a pivotal chapter in the race for the title as Los Blancos and the Blaugrana continue to vie for top position.
Manager Carlo Ancelotti is eagerly anticipating the showdown, calling it “the biggest game for me, Real Madrid, and the fans.” He added, “We’ll aim to play a balanced game, strong with and without the ball. Barca have brought a new energy under Hansi Flick, whom I admire greatly.”
For Hansi Flick, it will be his first official El Clasico as Barcelona’s manager, having led his team to a pre-season friendly win over Real Madrid: “That match was only a friendly, so it doesn’t hold any weight now. We’ve made much more progress since then, but a Real Madrid clash at the Bernabeu will be our toughest test yet.”
While Real Madrid and Barcelona battle it out, Atletico Madrid will travel to Real Betis for an important clash on Sunday. Elsewhere, Athletic Bilbao takes on Mallorca on Monday, and Villarreal faces Real Valladolid on Saturday, as other teams look to capitalize on the El Clasico result.
In Sunday’s matchup, Real Betis will be counting on the in-form Giovani Lo Celso, who returned to Seville in career-best shape this season. “It feels like I never left,” Lo Celso said. “The fans welcomed me back warmly, and I try to show my appreciation in every game.”
