David Asamoah has stepped in as the acting Managing Director of the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) after Samuel Dubik Mahama’s resignation on September 25. Asamoah, who was the Deputy Managing Director overseeing Commercial Services, will serve in this interim position until the Government of Ghana, the sole shareholder of ECG, makes a final decision.
The announcement was made by Alexander Afenyo Markin, the Board Chairman of ECG. With a strong background at ECG, Asamoah has held various roles, including Sectional Manager of Revenue, where he focused on Technical Investigations. He has a proven track record in managing complex cases, notably testifying in court against companies involved in illegal power connections.
